The company faced a critical bottleneck in their operations due to an inefficient demineralized (DM) water plant that could not meet their increasing demands. In 2019, they turned to Veolia for an urgent solution to bridge this gap. The stakes were high: they needed a temporary facility capable of producing 2000 m3/day of high-purity demineralized water, sourced from the local potable water distribution network (Kahramaa). With production efficiency hanging in the balance, The client required a swift, reliable solution that would maintain their operational excellence while addressing their expanding needs
Veolia deployed the assets within 2 months with complete scope of supply including storage tanks, chemicals dosing skids. Diesel Generators (DG) sets and all other electro mechanical accessories with full integration.
The deployment included:
- 6 Multimedia Filters (MMF): To effectively reduce suspended solids and provide a consistent SDI < 3 for the water feeding into the reverse osmosis system to ensure optimal performance.
- 8 Seawater Reverse Osmosis units (SWRO): To produce pure water from the salt solution through a membrane into a higher concentrated saline solution.
- 2 Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis units (BWRO): To remove dissolved salts and other impurities from brackish water, producing potable or industrial-grade water.
- Required pump & Clean-in-Place (CIP) skids
- 24/7 operational support
