The company faced a critical bottleneck in their operations due to an inefficient demineralized (DM) water plant that could not meet their increasing demands. In 2019, they turned to Veolia for an urgent solution to bridge this gap. The stakes were high: they needed a temporary facility capable of producing 2000 m3/day of high-purity demineralized water, sourced from the local potable water distribution network (Kahramaa). With production efficiency hanging in the balance, The client required a swift, reliable solution that would maintain their operational excellence while addressing their expanding needs.
To tackle this challenge head-on, Veolia deployed a mobile water treatment solution featuring the following key technologies:
- Multimedia Filters (MMF): To effectively reduce suspended solids and provide a consistent SDI < 3 for the water feeding into the reverse osmosis system to ensure optimal performance.
- Reverse Osmosis (RO) System (Super 600E MobileRO): Configured for a two pass operation, these units are capable of producing up to 85 m3/hr of permeate to the mixed bed units.
Mixed Beds (MB500): To perform the polishing step of the RO permeate and to consistently achieve a DM water of conductivity < 1 uS/cm, our mixed bed units are integrated into the process.
This seamlessly integrated mobile solution demonstrates Veolia’s commitment to delivering excellence through innovative, flexible, and highly efficient water treatment technologies. The benefits include rapid deployment, assured system performance, reduced water losses through sustainable operations, and continuous operator support that enables clients to focus on their core business.
