We, as global leaders in sustainable water treatment solutions, returned to the American University of Sharjah's career fair on February 17th, 2025. This event provided us an excellent opportunity to showcase our commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting sustainability in the water industry. By engaging with students, we helped them to explore potential career paths in the water management field.
Annual Sheikha’s visit to the fair!
The presence of Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, President of the American University of Sharjah, at Veolia's booth highlighted the importance of the company's participation in the event once again. Her visit showcased Veolia's commitment to partnering with educational institutions and creating opportunities for students in the evolving water industry.
Sami Ulhaq’s visit: Diversity & Inclusion
One of the main highlights of the event was the presence of Sami Ulhaq, HR Coordinator for Middle East & Africa at WaterTech MEA. His visit to the event served a dual purpose. First, it provided students with insights into Veolia's inclusive culture, helping them envision a future where their unique perspectives would be valued. Second, it demonstrated Veolia's active approach to recruiting diverse talent, reflecting the company's belief that a varied workforce is essential for creating a healthy work environment.
Interactive environmental quiz with students!
One of the most popular activities at Veolia's booth was an interactive environmental quiz. Students eagerly participated, testing their knowledge about environmental issues and sustainable practices alongside Veolia team members. The quiz's appeal extended beyond the students, with even the manager of the career fair joining in, demonstrating the broad interest in environmental topics.
